RABBI LOUIS J. SACHS
Rabbi Louis J. Sachs is the Associate Rabbi of Beth Tikvah. He regularly delivers sermons on Shabbat and Holidays and teaches classes both at the synagogue and in the larger Toronto community. Rabbi Sachs currently serves as the Vice-President of the Ontario Rabbinical Assembly and is the past chair of the Willowdale Interfaith Coalition.
Born and raised in Los Angeles, Rabbi Sachs attended UC Davis, graduating in 2010 with a Bachelors degree in Religious Studies. He spent the following year studying in Jerusalem at the Pardes Center for Jewish Studies, before returning to Los Angeles to begin at the Ziegler School of Rabbinic Studies. Rabbi Sachs concentrated in Jewish Philosophy and his capstone project explored the relationship between Jewish Law and Ethics.
Rabbi Sachs and his wife Lauren have one daughter. Together they enjoy spending time with their family, friends, and dog, Spinoza.
